If you and your boyfriend have split up and you want to get him back, here’s a list of what you should and shouldn’t do to make your ex boyfriend crazy about you without losing your mind.

- Do try new things. When you are excited about life and new experiences, your ex boyfriend gets excited about you,

- Don’t do something now that you will regret later. Take your time if he initiates a conversation with you. Chances are, he’s probably starting to really notice you again. So don’t ruin those chances by gushing over him and expecting to be a couple overnight. Too much emotion can scare guys away.

- Don’t blow your cover by telling your girlfriends your plans to get him back. If you do, your ex will hear it faster than if you had told him yourself.

- Do make an effort to see other guys and flirt with other men, especially if your ex is in the vicinity. If you turn into a shrinking violet only when your ex is around he will notice your blatant ploy to announce your availability.

- Don’t flirt just to make him jealous. Learn to look forward to and welcome the idea of being swept off your feet by another man and chances are, you will be and if not, your ex will have learned to appreciate you and be ready to get back together.

- Don’t forget which celestial body you are. You’re not a moon meant to revolve around your ex boyfriend. You are a star! His world should revolve around you!

It is still quite possible to get him back regardless of whether he eloped with someone else or not. Of course, you have to know how to do it effectively.

best how long does a broken heart last
We went to the humane society last night, it was heart breaking…..?

Last night we went to the humane society to fill out adoption papers to get a cat. There weren’t very many dogs (thank goodness) but there were TONS of cats, in pretty small cages. I’d walk up to one cage to pet a cat and 3 or 4 more in cages near that one would stick their paws out and try to grab me for attention. It was like they were starved for attention.

I know the shelter does the best it can but it was so sad seeing all these cats begging to be pet and watching their faces as I finally walked away from their cage. The older cats were especially depressing because I know the chances of them finding homes are slim.

How do you go into a place like that and choose the perfect cat? We want a young one because we recently (6 months ago) lost a cat to cancer and it was so hard.. We want our new cat to be around as long as possible. But theres SO many sweet loving cats there, it seems impossible to choose.

I have adopted two cats so far in my life and both picked me. The first one was adopted from a country shelter where there was a cat room, instead of the cats being in cages. My cat had been extremely shy, but when I scooped her up she settled in to my arm, purring, and eventually fell asleep. All the rest of the cats were interested in me, but more out of curiosity. She seemed right at home.

My second cat was adopted from a shelter where each cat was in a cage. It’s harder to get to know the personality in that situation. But I spent time with a few different cats to get a sense of their personality and how the responded to me. My cat was playing in the room and I had to step out for a moment. As soon as I left the room she jumped up on a table and looked out the window meowing for me. When I returned. She jumped in my lap and patted her paw against my cheek. And home we went.

I truly believe that a cat picks his or her home. Spend some time with them to get a sense of how your personality clicks with them.

My first cat died of cancer when she was four years old. It was absolutely devastating and five years later I still miss her. My current cat is nothing like the first one, aside from both being calicoes, but they both picked me in their own way.

I hope that helps. You’re doing a wonderful thing, opening your home to a pet.

Good luck!
