Many people think that the easiest way would be to walk away from it all – that life may simply be easier without the spouse and children. Let me tell you from experience that being single is not what I chose for myself at the sight from behind (it's a whole other article in itself!)

So, I'm sure you're wondering where in the heck can I find some good "save my marriage and advice." Three steps to get started on your way.

Respect each other

I can not stress this point! If you do not respect – you do nothing. I remember being very young and I think he knew everything and I was right about everything. I do not want my husband to be "man" in relationship. Women may have to be very dominant, especially when we work alongside our husbands to put food on the table. Let me tell you Ladies say this – It is very important for a man to feel as if he were the king of his castle!

Now, this does not mean that women be abused, so for you men reading this, do not be too excited. They also need to feel they are valued in their role as wife, mother, launderer, career woman, friend, etc., etc.

You must treat others as you want to be treated. It should never be cussing, which raises his voice, calling names or disrespect each other. These kinds of things can have a negative impact on the other, but also your children, (if there are children involved). We as parents set an example for our children and ensure they learn through our everyday lives.

Notice the Little Things

Your husband or wife never did anything more special because you like to make a good dinner or bought you flowers or even record your favorite show for you when you will not be home? It's the little things that so often neglected because of our busy schedules. Although they may seem trivial, whenever they occur, the feelings may get hurt. If it happens again and again these hurt feelings may turn to resentment. Before you know, they are Full Blown battle. Nip in the bud now and do your best to notice and meet these little extras.

Do not hold grudge

Of course couples will be disagreements. They can be healthy as long as they are treated in a respectful and thought out manner. Think carefully about what you mean before you even have the discussion. Nothing will be yelling and screaming at each other. Once the conversation is finished and a solution was made – Drop It! Do not bring it over and over again. Not only does this make you angry all over again, this makes your partner angry all over again on a problem has been solved. Think about it, does it make sense? Remember if you like it: About 90% of the things we learn about stress have either already happened will never happen, or that we have absolutely no control.

However, these three steps that I have gone are the tip of the iceberg. Marriage is a commitment and it takes a lot to make it work. Most of us do not experience when we marry someone. If you have not been raised in a family as "Leave It to Beaver" then you have nothing go of. You do not blame you for mistakes you made – Fix them.
