TO DO

Please join us for an outdoor fitness class in Telluride Town Park at 8:30am on Friday, June 10.

Bear Creek Falls Hike

The Bear Creek Trail is a must-do for those who visit Telluride in summer. The beautiful and well-marked wooded trail ends in a magnificent set of waterfalls, and the refreshing waterfall spray is well worth the trek up 1,050 feet in elevation.

The River Trail

The River Trail follows the San Miguel River from the end of Telluride’s box canyon, through town, along the entire length of the valley floor. This is a stunning, and mostly flat path, perfect for strolling and jogging with unbeatable views of the box canyon.

Cornet Creek Falls

The Coronet Creek trail is a short hike with a spectacular finish at the 80-foot waterfall. The steep ascent requires some scrambling (that means being on both hands and feet at times!) on loose soil and rocks, so sturdy shoes are recommended. We like to explore the view from different sides of the falls!

Blue Lake Hike

The hike to Blue Lake starts at 10,400 feet, and ascends 2,000 feet over 5 miles to a pristine high alpine lake. Traveling on an old mining road, the hike tends to be an all-day event for most.

Jud Wiebe Hike

The Wiebe is a favorite: a steep 3-mile loop accessed from town, traveling through groves of aspen trees, wide meadows, with spectacular views of Telluride all the way from Bridal Veil Falls to the Valley Floor.

Fly Fishing the San Miguel River

The San Miguel is Telluride’s local river, a terrific trout stream with more than 20 miles of public access just west from Town. The San Miguel is famous for well-structured trout habitat and fish that love to eat dry flies. In June, the runoff will be coming to an end and dry fly season will be heating up, but conditions vary enormously from year-to-year because the San Miguel is an undammed stream. Telluride Outfitters and Telluride Angler can set you up with a guide and gear.

Exhilaratingly exposed in sections, Mountain Trip offers guided trips on the Via Ferrata and provides all necessary technical equipment to traverse this sheer cliff with steel cables and rungs.

The Telluride golf course features an 18-hole par-70, 6,574-yard course tucked within the highest concentration of 13,000 and 14,000 foot peaks in the United States. It’s also one of the highest altitude courses in the world!
